Minutes June 26, 2008
Members Present: Barbara Barwise, Deborah Bauman, David Kling, Pixie Lown (left early) Sheila Matthews-Bull, Bob McCrillis, & Chris Perry
Absent: Jamie Houtz, & Barbara Rencurrel
Also in Attendance: Werner Gilliam & LarryMead
Meeting was called to order at 4:15pm.
The June 5, 2008 Minutes were accepted as written.
It was voted 7/0 that Article 5, as currently written in the Land Use Ordinance, be eliminated.
Werner gave each Committee Member a copy of the amended Performance Standards. These Standards will replace current Article 5.
The Committee reviewed the Performance Standards and made corrections. New Article 5 will be reformatted to current Land Use Ordinance standards. The Committee will review David Kling’s changes to Performance Standards for septic systems at the next meeting.
Article 4 will be modified to add Shoreland Zone and Resource Protection as overlay zones and indicate uses and conditional uses permitted within.
Principle and Accessory Structures will be placed in Article 4. David and Werner will work on this section. The Committee agreed to ask approval for Werner’s assistance in writing the changes to Article 4.
Amended Articles will be presented to the Selectman for acceptance to the Warrant for the November 2008 election.
Once this is completed, the Committee will then consider Dock Square and Riverfront as General Development Zones and make any other changes and additions to the LUO for the June 2009 warrant.
