Discussion re: frequency and time of meetings |
Discussion about meeting frequency and time of meetings. The decision was made to meet bimonthly from timeHour16Minute304:30 - 6:00, starting in September. Susan agreed to write a memo to inform the Boards of Selectman and Town Managers of the meeting schedule change. |

Update on Youth Services Coordinator’s Activities |
Rachel updated the Commission regarding her activities and upcoming professional commitments. She reported that she plans to develop a work plan for the 2007-2008 school year that will be the topic of discussion at the September meeting. YSC meeting in September will be a discussion of how Rachel plans to use her time and what projects will take priority.
Rachel reported on the MSK Parent Information night on the SafeHomes project; the “Cops on the Spot” Police/Youth Forum; the Prevention Steering Committee activities, and Prom Safety Awareness week. |

Discussion re: YSC schedule |
Dolores suggested that Rachel provide Commission members a break down of how she spends her time prior to September meeting. Rachel discussed possibility of working two late days, from timeHour12Minute012:00 to timeHour20Minute08:00pm, in order to accommodate families. |

Review of Monthly Report |
There was discussion of monthly reports. No questions were asked. Rachel discussed the possibility of creating a Community Network Forum on homeless youth as she and school personnel and police have spent a lot of time with issues around homeless youth and availability of resources. |
