John Burrows - Kennebunkport Resident, obtain information on the workings of the KRC.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by J. Beck (Chair)
Minutes of March 2008 meeting read by Grant Nelson, and approved by KRC.
Member Resignation
Joel Beck announced that Bob Butler would be resigning from the KRC.
Kennebunk River Club Presentation by Richard Beckworth
Richard Beckworth presented a detailed description of a project being proposed to replace the failing bulkhead wall currently in place at the Kennebunk River Club. The KRC Committee had no objections or concerns to this proposed work. A hard copy of the proposed plan and Kennebunk River Club contact information was presented to the KRC Chair.
Old Business
Pump Our Barge:
Action Item: Rich Woodman to create flyer/brochure to include Pump Out Barge information, rules, time of use, boat length, etc.
Dock Ordinance:
Action Item: Joel Beck, James Nadeau, & Ray Billings will establish a list of recommendation to be included in a Kennebunk Dock Ordinance. The recommendation will be reviewed by the KRC and submitted to the Town of Kennebunk.
KRC Priorities
Previous Action Items:
1.) Joel Beck and Bob Butler to meet with Barry Tibbett to discuss Town of Kennebunk interest in procuring the land across form the Governor's Warf for public access.
2.) Dave Parr and Peter Hatch to survey surrounding town mooring fees and report findings to the KRC.
Dredging:
Action Item: Joel Beck to look at the successes of dredging at the Wells Harbor.
Commercial Fishing:
Action Item: Rich Woodman to look at possible recommended revision(s) to the Kennebunk River Harbor Ordinance that would protect Commercial Fishing and KRC Priorities.
Action Item: Harbor Master, James Nadeau to provide Rich Woodman with detailed job description to be included in the Kennebunk River Harbor Ordinance revision.
No New Business
Harbor Master Report:
Harbor Master received a favorable response from letters to Mooring Owners who will require inspections prior to June 30, 2008. Letter included options for Mooring Owners to have the Harbor Master complete the inspections or to have the inspections done independently.
KRC agreed unanimously to support the Harbor Master 100% with any actions required to address mooring holders (Commercial or Recreational) who are delinquent with registration fees.
No other Business - Vote to adjourn at 8:15 p.m.
