Meeting Minutes -August 21, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by J. Beck (Chair)
Minutes of July 17, 2007 meeting read and approved
Old Business
" Pump out barge not ready for launching.
- LA Management Company, Warwick, R.I. provided quote of $3,900.00 for custom pump, requires COD for pump.
- Town requires services rendered prior to releasing funds for pump.
- Town (Joel Downs & Barry Tibbits) advised that a grant be pursued to procure pump.
- Joel Beck offered to meet with Town to address problem following a conversation with other committee members not at meeting.
" Watershed Committee.
- Joel Beck will seek clarification on watershed committee readings and report back to KRC.
" Dock Ordinance.
- Joel Beck to meet with Town of Arundel to discuss dock ordinance.
New Business
" Town of Kennebunkport request that committees submit goals & objectives.
- Joel Beck required an action item for each individual member to present goals & objectives at the next meeting.
" "Red" Nun Buoys off Jetty Wall & Nonatum Resort.
- Committee discussed boater concerns about Buoy # 8 located off Jetty Wall and Buoy # 12A located off Nonatum Resort.
- # 8 - Buoy's placement should be closer to the easterly Jetty Wall.
- # 12A - Limited passageway between moored boats and # 12A buoy at low tide or under extreme westerly wind conditions.
- Committee Members to obtain GPS and sounder readings at buoy locations and report collected data at next meeting for further discussion.
Harbormaster Report
- Mooring Inspection and Repairs are complete.
- Notification presented to mooring holders who are delinquent in payment.
- 30-31 people on waiting list for mooring.
- Transient Mooring Rental business down approx. 50% from 2006.
No other Business - Vote to adjourn at 8:15 p.m.
Next Meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
